Calvin Bassey was presented with a special commemorative shirt to mark his 100th appearance for Fulham ahead of the club’s pre-season clash against Stuttgart at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Nigerian international was celebrated alongside Timothy Castagne, who also reached the 100-appearance milestone for the Cottagers during the 2025/26 campaign. The pair were honoured before the friendly, which Fulham won 1-0 thanks to Castagne’s goal, provided by Alex Iwobi’s assist.
Bassey reached the milestone on May 17, 2026, when he featured in Fulham’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Wolves. It was his 31st appearance of the 2025/26 season, having made 37 appearances the previous campaign and 32 during his debut 2023/24 season.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of Fulham’s key players, with his growing influence further highlighted during Saturday’s pre-season fixture when he captained the side in Alvaro Arbeloa’s first home game in charge.

Speaking after the game, Arbeloa praised Bassey’s influence both on and off the pitch, suggesting that the defender has the qualities to become one of Fulham’s leaders.
“Calvin is a proper player. He has everything. He’s a really funny guy, but when we have to work, he’s the first one. I really love Calvin. He can be our leader,” the new Fulham boss said.
Fulham will begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a London derby against Chelsea at Craven Cottage. After narrowly missing out on European football following an 11th-place finish last season, Arbeloa’s side will be looking to improve on that position this time.
The Cottagers have strengthened their squad ahead of the new campaign, with Gonzalo Garcia and César Palacios arriving from Real Madrid, while midfielder Shea Charles has joined on a permanent deal from Southampton.
