Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Remo Stars, have arrived in Pretoria ahead of their CAF Champions League qualifier second leg clash against Mamelodi Sundowns, scheduled for Sunday, October 26, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The Sky Blue Stars face a daunting task after suffering a disappointing 5-1 defeat in the first leg at the MKO Abiola Arena, Abeokuta, where the South African champions showcased their quality on the ball and clinical finishing.
Despite the heavy loss, Daniel Ogunmodede’s side will be determined to put up a better display in the return fixture.

While overturning the four-goal deficit appears unlikely, the NPFL champions are focused on restoring pride and gaining valuable continental experience against one of Africa’s most formidable sides.
The aggregate winner of the tie will progress to the group stage of the CAF Champions League. Mamelodi Sundowns, last season’s runners-up after losing to Egypt’s Pyramids FC, will be aiming to go one step further in their quest for continental glory.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s other representatives, Rivers United, will be in action on Saturday when they host Black Bulls Maputo at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, by 4:00 p.m.

The Pride of Rivers trail 1-0 on aggregate after their first-leg defeat in Mozambique and will be banking on home advantage to overturn the deficit and keep their qualification hopes alive.
