The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Rwandan referee Jean Claude Ishimwe to officiate Enyimba’s crucial CAF Confederation Cup Group D match against Zamalek of Egypt.

The game is set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on December 8th.

Ishimwe will be assisted by his compatriot Saisi Hamisi Ndayisaba as Assistant Referee 1, Eric Mugabo as Assistant Referee 2, and Rurisa Patience Fidele as the Fourth Official. Ghana’s Prosper Harrison Addo will serve as the Match Commissioner.

Abdo Ali Mohamed from Djibouti will act as the Referee Assessor, while Rwanda’s Jules Karangwa will be the General Coordinator for the match.

This encounter will be the second group-stage clash between the two clubs. Both teams will have already faced Al Masry and Black Bulls in their opening group matches on November 27th.

Enyimba will be aiming to kick off their campaign on a positive note, having arrived early in Egypt to prepare for their match against Al Masry. A favorable result in that game would provide a significant boost to the nine-time Nigerian Premier Football League champions as they strive to advance from the group stage.
