Brighton & Hove Albion will remain without Nigerian forwards Femi Azeez and Zadok Yohanna for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Manager Fabian Hürzeler confirmed their unavailability ahead of the derby at the Amex Stadium, Bold Sports reports.
Azeez is still waiting to make his competitive debut for Brighton after joining from Millwall. Yohanna, meanwhile, has made substitute appearances for the Seagulls but continues to work towards full fitness. Their absence leaves Brighton without two Nigerian attacking options for the weekend fixture.
Hürzeler explains Nigerian duo’s absence
Brighton will face Crystal Palace on Sunday, October 18, hoping to continue their impressive run in the Premier League. However, Hürzeler confirmed that none of the club’s sidelined players would return this weekend.

The German manager wants both Nigerians to adjust fully to Brighton’s training demands before returning to action.
“They’re not available for this weekend, but the games after they might be an option.”
The update means Azeez and Yohanna must wait longer for their next opportunities. Brighton will assess their progress before deciding when they can rejoin the squad.
Azeez continues working towards debut
Azeez joined Brighton from Millwall on transfer deadline day. However, fitness issues have delayed his first competitive appearance for the Premier League club.
Brighton will hope he can regain full fitness and compete for a place in Hürzeler’s attacking lineup.

Yohanna also remains sidelined
Yohanna has not featured for Brighton since his substitute appearance against Tromsø in the UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds.
Hürzeler is keen to avoid rushing either Nigerian back into action. Both players could become options for upcoming fixtures if their recovery progresses well.
Brighton will now turn their attention to Crystal Palace, with the club hoping to extend their winning run in the Premier League. A return for either Nigerian in the coming weeks would provide Hürzeler with additional attacking options.
