Amedspor coach Besnik Hasi has praised Gift Orban after the Nigerian forward made a major impact against Kasımpaşa, Bold Sports reports.
Orban came off the bench at half-time and scored twice. His goals helped Amedspor recover from a two-goal deficit and earn a 2-2 draw.
Orban has now scored in consecutive league matches for Amedspor. He previously scored in the 2-1 win over Trabzonspor. Hasi highlighted that scoring record when discussing the striker’s influence.
Orban replaced Mbaye Diagne at half-time. He then made his presence felt after the break. The forward scored in the 59th minute to reduce the deficit. He later struck again in the 83rd minute to secure the draw.
Hasi praised Orban for taking his opportunity. The coach stressed the importance of goals for a striker. He also noted that Orban had delivered in the previous match.
”Scoring goals is very important for strikers. Gift did just that when he came on. He did it last week, and today he did it again in a way that directly impacted the game.”
The Amedspor coach also believes Orban can reach another level soon. His performance against Kasımpaşa strengthened that belief. Hasi also referenced Orban’s reaction to being left on the bench.
”He gave a very good answer to the question ‘Why am I here?’ while on the bench.”
Hasi did not limit his praise to Orban. He also credited the other substitutes for their role in the comeback. Amedspor showed greater attacking threat after the changes.
The coach said a strong bench can make a major difference during matches. He was pleased that the team eventually secured a point.
“Your bench needs to be good too. I give all the credit to the players. I’m happy that we got a point in the end.”
Orban’s performance gave Hasi a clear example of that impact. The Nigerian responded when his opportunity arrived. He then played a key role in Amedspor’s comeback.
