The Nigeria Football Federation Executive Committee has approved Austin Eguavoen to continue in his role as Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team.
According to a statement issued by the Communications Department of the NFF, the decision follows the recommendation of the NFF’s Technical and Development Sub-Committee.

Austin Eguavoen, 58, who has been serving as the NFF’s Technical Director, will lead the team in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya next month.
The coach led the team to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a scoreless draw with Rwanda in the first two matchdays of the qualifiers earlier in the month.
In addition to his responsibilities with the main squad, Eguavoen and his technical crew will also oversee the Super Eagles B team during their qualifying campaign for next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The current technical crew includes Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa and Tomaz Zorec.
