Athletic Bilbao have signed 17-year-old Spanish-born player of Nigerian descent Elijah Gift Izobodo John on a five-year deal according to reports.
Reputable football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet said the 2006-born former Liverpool academy player has completed his medical with the La Liga side and a deal expected to run through 2028 has been signed.

The deal is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Elijah joined the Liverpool Youth team in 2017 from Huddersfield Town Youth before leaving the Reds to join Bilbao’s youth team on July 6.
The 17-year-old is eligible to represent Spain, Nigeria, and Cuba. He was born in Spain to a Nigerian father and a Cuban mother.
