Gasperini believes Lookman’s pace, athleticism, and skill can elevate him to the next level. He emphasizes pushing Lookman to maximize his potential.

“We all see Lookman’s talent and speed,” Gasperini stated after the Sporting Lisbon draw. “He wasn’t always so offensive, scoring only 6-7 goals a year previously. Now he’s fast, dribbles well, and even uses his head effectively.”

“I keep encouraging him because he sometimes disappears from the game,” Gasperini continued. “However, I believe he can become a key player for us when he takes control near the goal.”

Ademola Lookman aims to break his 17-game European league goal drought when Atalanta hosts Lisbon at Gewiss Stadium next week.
