Super Falcon striker Asisat Oshoala continued her great goal scoring form, hitting a hat-trick as her side Barcelona Femini thrashed Real Betis 7-0 in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.
The hat-trick was the Nigerian’s third in four games after also hitting treble goals in Barca’s 7-0 home win over Las Planas on January 25 and another in their 6-0 mauling of Granadilla Tenerife last Sunday.
Brazilian attacker Geyse gave Barca the lead in the 14th minute before Keira Walsh doubled their lead in the 38th minute taking the game to half time at 2-0.
Just three minutes into the resumption of the second half, Claudia Pina made it 3-0 for the 2021 Champions League winning side.
Oshoala only took two minutes after her introduction into the game in the 59th minute to find the back of the net, giving Barca a 4-0 lead, before Mariona Caldentey made it 5-0 just three minutes later.
The five-time African Footballer of the Year doubled her tally in the 77th minute before completing her hat-trick in the second minute of injury time.
The 28-year-old was also on target on Wednesday as Barca trounced Valencia 4-0.
The Nigerian striker tops the league’s scorers’ log with 17 goals, one ahead Levante’s Alba Redondo, while Real Madrid’s Esther Gonzalez is a further one goal behind.
