Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare scored a late equaliser to rescue a point for Wolves as they fought back from two goals down to draw 2–2 with Brentford in their Premier League clash on Monday, Bold Sports reports.

The hosts appeared to be cruising to victory after establishing a comfortable two-goal lead in the first half. However, goals from Adam Armstrong and Arokodare ensured Wolves left London with a valuable point, extending their unbeaten run to three league matches.

Brentford opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Michael Kayode buried a header at the far post after an excellent delivery from Keane Lewis-Potter. The Bees doubled their advantage in the 37th minute as Igor Thiago tapped home his 19th league goal of the season to give the hosts a commanding 2–0 lead.

Wolves responded just before the break. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde surged forward on a driving run before picking out Armstrong, who took the ball in his stride and finished superbly beyond Caoimhin Kelleher in the 44th minute to reduce the deficit to 2–1.

With the visitors pushing for an equaliser in the second half, Wolves manager Rob Edwards turned to Arokodare in the 74th minute, introducing the Nigerian striker in place of Bellegarde.

The substitution paid off almost immediately as Arokodare rose highest to meet a teasing cross from João Gomes, powering a header into the net to level the score at 2–2. The Nigerian nearly completed a dramatic turnaround moments later, but his powerful header rattled the crossbar.

Brentford pushed for a late winner but were unable to find a breakthrough and had to settle for a share of the spoils. The result denies the Bees the chance to move within one point of sixth-placed Chelsea. They, however, remain seventh in the table with 45 points.

Meanwhile, Wolves stay bottom of the standings with 17 points, though their recent form offers encouragement as they are now unbeaten in three league matches and have lost just once in their last six games.

Arokodare has now recorded three Premier League goals and one assist in 27 appearances. Across all competitions, the Nigerian striker has scored six goals and provided two assists in 32 games.
