Nigerian striker Anthony Okpotu is looking forward to a new challenge after signing with Saudi First Division club Al-Adalah. His previous contract with Al Ain expired.
Anthony Okpotu announced the move on his social media, expressing his enthusiasm with a simple caption, “unto the next one.”
The forward had a strong season with Al Ain last year, scoring an impressive 17 goals in 27 games. He finished as the third-highest scorer in the league, but unfortunately, his efforts weren’t enough to secure promotion back to the top tier for Al Ain.
Okpotu, a seasoned striker with experience at Lobi Stars and a Nigerian Premier League top scorer title in 2017, will now set his sights on helping Al-Adalah achieve promotion. The club finished fifth in the last season.
Okpotu brings a wealth of experience having played for clubs across several countries, including Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi (Morocco), Klubi i Futbollit Laçi (Albania), US Monastir (Morocco), Qatar SC, and El Masry (Egypt) before joining Al Ain in Saudi Arabia.
