Former international Finidi George on Saturday, resigned his appointment as Super Eagles coach after only one month in charge. In this report, Bold Sports looks at the time spent by the ex-Ajax Amsterdam man in numbers:
2 – Finidi was only in charge of the Super Eagles as coach for two games, playing a 1-1 draw with South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo before losing 2-1 to Benin Republic in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Both games were 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
2 – The Super Eagles under Finidi only found the back of the net two times – Raphael Onyedika’s 27th-minute equalizer against South Africa and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s opener in the 2-1 loss to Benin Republic.
4 – Finidi handed international debuts to four players (Ibrahim Olawoyin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Benjamin Tanimu, Sodiq Ismail) as Eagles coach.
