Alex Iwobi will remain unavailable when Fulham F.C. take on AFC Bournemouth in Saturday’s Premier League encounter.
The midfielder has not returned since suffering a hamstring injury during Fulham’s meeting with Brentford F.C.. Fulham boss Marco Silva confirmed ahead of the game that Iwobi will not be included in the squad for the clash at Craven Cottage.
Before the injury, Iwobi remained one of Fulham’s most dependable performers this season. The Nigeria international played 27 league matches, scoring four times and producing three assists.
He also featured regularly in Silva’s starting eleven due to his influence across midfield and attack.

Fulham have already faced Aston Villa F.C. and Arsenal F.C. without the former Arsenal player. During that period, Samuel Chukwueze moved into the lineup as Silva searched for alternatives in wide areas.
Nigeria coach Eric Chelle is expected to monitor the midfielder’s recovery ahead of upcoming friendlies against Poland and Portugal next month.
Iwobi also approaches an important personal landmark at international level. The 29-year-old is closing in on 100 appearances for the Nigeria national football team.
Fulham will now hope the midfielder recovers before the closing weeks of the season as Silva’s side continue their push in the Premier League.
