Alex Iwobi stole the show on Wednesday, scoring the first brace of his professional career to propel Fulham to a resounding 5-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League.
The Nigerian international opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a clinical half-volley from a precise cross by Willian. He doubled his tally in the 74th minute, putting Fulham firmly in control. Tom Cairney added a late goal in the 86th minute to cap off the dominant performance.
Sandwiched between Iwobi’s brace were goals from striker Raul Jimenez in the 34th and 54th minutes, further highlighting Fulham’s attacking prowess.
This brace marks a significant milestone for Iwobi, who has now matched his best-ever Premier League goal tally for a single season. He has previously reached three goals in three separate seasons during his time at Arsenal.

Iwobi played a key role for 76 minutes before being substituted by Bobby Decordova-Reid. Fellow Nigerian Calvin Bassey also impressed, playing the entire match and contributing to the defensive solidity. Additionally, Super Eagles prospect Tosin Adarabioyo made his first start of the season, helping Fulham keep a clean sheet.
With Iwobi finding his scoring touch and Bassey solidifying the defense, Fulham will be looking to continue their impressive form when they welcome West Ham United to the Craven Cottage on Sunday.
