Atlético Madrid have confirmed that newly signed forward Ademola Lookman will wear the No. 22 jersey at the club.
The La Liga giants on Monday announced the signing of the Super Eagles star, who has joined Atlético on a deal running until June 30, 2030, from Italian side Atalanta for an initial €35 million, with a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Lookman was officially unveiled to the Spanish media on Tuesday, with the club also confirming his squad number. The Nigeria international has already hit the ground running, as videos showed him training with his new teammates and holding conversations with head coach Diego Simeone.
The 28-year-old arrives in Madrid after spending three and a half seasons with Atalanta, where he scored 55 goals and registered 27 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions.

Lookman could make his Atlético Madrid debut as early as Thursday, February 5, when they face Real Betis in the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey.
