Ademola Lookman found the back of the net for Atalanta for the second game in a row, contributing to their 2-0 victory over Cagliari in an Italian Serie A match day 5 encounter on Sunday.
The Nigeria international put the La Dea in front in the 33rd minute tapping in the ball from close range after Charles De Ketelaere’s clever pass into the box. The victory was sealed in the 76th minute thanks to Mario Pasalic’s goal which made it 2-0.

The goal for Lookman takes his tally to two in five league games. The Super Eagles forward after a slow start to the season which saw him fire blanks in his first three games of the season has found his scoring boots after the international break.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, Lookman says he is delighted with the victory, and his partnership with Ketelaere while also looking forward to a win in their next league game against Verona.
“I’m happy for the victory, it was very important in addition to the goal scored,” the 25-year-old told DAZN after the match. “De Ketelaere is a very intelligent player, it’s a pleasure to play with him. We have a great team, playing with them is fun.”
“The objective is to win again against Verona, as well as in the Europa League. We lost two away at home, we want to make up for it.”
