Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke have been named in Sevilla’s squad for their opening 2025/26 La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao at the Estadio de San Mamés on Sunday.
The new season marks Ejuke’s second campaign with the Andalusian club after joining in the summer of 2024/25, while Adams will be aiming for a strong first full season following his arrival from French Ligue 1 side Montpellier last January.
Adams endured a difficult start to life in Spain, managing just four appearances without a goal last season. His progress was hampered by injuries. After debuting with nine minutes against Getafe, he was sidelined for five matches with a hamstring issue.

He later returned for three consecutive games before suffering a season-ending muscle injury that ruled him out of the club’s final eight fixtures. Now, under head coach Matías Almeyda and new assistant Erik Lamela, the Nigerian striker will be hoping for a fresh start.
Ejuke, meanwhile, will look to rediscover the form he showed in the first half of last season before a hamstring injury sidelined him for nine matches. The Nigerian forward finished the campaign with two goals and one assist in 25 appearances.
Their compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho was left out of the matchday squad, with the forward expected to leave the club before the close of the transfer window.
