Kanyinsola Ajayi storms to men’s 100m national title

Kanyinsola Ajayi stormed to the national title late Sunday evening in the men’s 100m at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The Auburn University graduate who was aided by a great start, claimed his first national title, crossing the line in a time of 10.14s.

Alaba Akintola finished closely in second in a time of 10.16s, while Usheoritse Itsekiri was third in 10.22s.

The National Trials serves as selection trials for the Paris 2024 Olympics starting next month and the African Senior Championships in Cameroon later this month.
