Ademola Lookman and Atalanta secured a dramatic comeback victory over Sporting Lisbon to progress to the Europa League quarter-finals.
Ademola Lookman’s crucial goal after halftime proved decisive, as Atalanta won 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.

The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams needing a win in regulation time to advance to the quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Sporting Lisbon took the lead through Pedro Goncalves in the 33rd minute, but Lookman equalized just 38 seconds into the second half. Gianluca Scamacca then netted the winner in the 59th minute.
This was Lookman’s first goal in the Europa League this season. The Italians now eagerly await tomorrow’s draw in Nyon, Switzerland, to discover their quarter-final opponent.
