Kelechi Iheanacho continued his unstoppable form with a brace, helping Bursaspor come from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Manisa FK in their Turkish 1. Lig clash on Monday.
The Nigerian international extended his goalscoring streak to six consecutive matches, taking his tally for the season to eight goals and two assists in six appearances.
His impressive contribution continues to play a key role in Bursaspor’s strong start to the campaign, with the club recording five victories from their opening six matches.
Manisa FK made a bright start against Bursaspor and took the lead in the 20th minute through Cheikne Sylla. The visitors responded quickly, however, with Iheanacho finding the back of the net just seven minutes later to restore parity.

Both teams continued to search for a winner after the break, creating opportunities but failing to find the decisive finish. With the match seemingly heading for a draw, Iheanacho delivered once again in stoppage time, scoring his second goal of the night to complete Bursaspor’s comeback and secure all three points.
The victory lifts Bursaspor to second place in the Turkish 1. Lig with 15 points, just one behind leaders Batman Petrolspor, who remain unbeaten on 16 points. Manisa FK, meanwhile, occupy 10th position with eight points.
Iheanacho and Bursaspor will look to maintain their impressive run when they host Esenler Erokspor on Sunday, September 13. Manisa FK will also be in action that day, aiming to return to winning ways against Karagümrük.
