Remo Stars have appointed Olumide Ajibolade as the club’s new head coach as they begin a new chapter under one of Nigeria’s most highly regarded young coaches.
The Ikenne-based club announced the appointment in a statement published on their official website on Wednesday, saying Ajibolade “assumes the role after years of exceptional success in youth development and team management.”
Ajibolade has been part of the Remo Stars Sports Club project since 2019, when he was appointed head coach of the club’s U-17 side. Following the establishment of Beyond Limits Football Academy in 2021, he took charge of the academy team and transformed it into one of the country’s most successful football development projects.
Under his leadership, Beyond Limits dominated the TCC League, winning five titles in six seasons (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2025/26). The academy also claimed back-to-back TCC Cup titles in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, lifted the TCC Super Cup in 2025, and won the Ogun State FA Cup in 2024 and 2026.

Ajibolade’s achievements extended beyond academy competitions, as he guided Beyond Limits from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL) during the 2022/23 season before securing another promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the 2023/24 campaign.
Beyond Limits capped off that remarkable season by winning the Nigeria National League title in Enugu, completing a historic feat.
On the international stage, Ajibolade led the academy to victory at the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy in 2024 before guiding the side to consecutive Gothia Cup triumphs in Sweden in 2025 and 2026.
Widely recognised for his emphasis on player development, Ajibolade has helped nurture several talented footballers who have gone on to establish professional careers with clubs across Europe and other parts of the world.
He now takes charge of Remo Stars as the club look to rebuild following their relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the end of the 2025/26 season.
