Newly-promoted Serie A side Venezia have completed the signing of Akor Adams from Spanish club Sevilla, with the Nigerian forward putting pen to paper on a four-year contract.
The Italian club confirmed the transfer in a statement released on their official website on Wednesday, announcing that the 26-year-old has signed a deal that will keep him at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo until June 30, 2030.
Adams arrives at Venezia after his impressive spell in La Liga with Sevilla, where he made 37 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists. His contributions played a key role in helping the Andalusian club secure their top-flight status last season.
The move offers the Nigerian another opportunity to showcase his qualities in one of Europe’s top leagues as Venezia prepare for life back in Serie A following their promotion.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Adams said he was attracted by the club’s long-term vision and expressed his excitement about being part of its journey.
“I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history,” he said.
The striker also praised the club’s supporters, describing their passion as one of the reasons he was eager to make the move.
“I want to tell the fans that what they manage to create in such a special place is truly incredible. The energy and passion they convey are unique. I’ve seen so many videos of the matches and I’ve been impressed by their constant support.”

Before joining Sevilla, Adams enjoyed a productive spell with French side Montpellier, where he registered 13 goals and five assists in 49 appearances, earning a move to Spain.
His switch to Venezia means the Super Eagles forward will now have the chance to compete in a third of Europe’s top-five leagues, having previously featured in Ligue 1 and La Liga before embarking on a new challenge in Serie A.
