AIK have invited Umeå FC winger Emmanuel Oluwafemi Olawore to train with their senior squad this week, ahead of the club’s league clash on Saturday, Bold Sports reports.
The Swedish side confirmed the news in a club statement on their official website revealing that the teenager took part in his first session with the first team on Tuesday. AIK have stopped short of committing to anything further, however, and it remains unclear whether the trial period will translate into a permanent transfer.
Olawore came through the youth ranks at Heyfash Football Academy before further honing his craft at grassroots side Erinsoccer FC. His rise continued on the domestic stage last year when he helped Team Ogun to claim gold in the football event at the 2025 National Sports Festival.
He made the move to Sweden in February 2026, penning his first professional contract with Umeå after a successful trial. The switch has paid immediate dividends. In the Ettan Nora this season, the young attacker has featured 14 times, contributing three goals and an assist, numbers that appear to have caught AIK’s attention.

The interest comes at a pivotal moment for AIK, who are searching for a replacement for Zadok Yohanna. The Nigerian winger completed a club-record move to Brighton after an electric start to the season at the Stockholm outfit.
Yohanna’s rapid rise, from Swedish football to catching the eye of clubs across the Premier League and Bundesliga, has become something of a blueprint for AIK, who appear keen to strike gold again with another young Nigerian talent.
