WAFU B U-20 Championship: Abdu Maikaba invites 35 players to Flying Eagles camp

Head Coach Abdu Maikaba has invited 35 players to the camp of Nigeria’s U-20 boys, the Flying Eagles, as they begin preparations for this year’s WAFU B U-20 Championship.

In the list are three goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 11 midfielders and 11 forwards. All invited players are expected to report to camp in Abuja on Saturday, 16th May.

Abdu Maikaba is aiming to kickstart a new era that will bring back the glory days of the seven-time African champions.

The newly-appointed coach recently picked Coaches Ortega Deniran (first assistant), Abdullahi Biffo (second assistant) and Usman Mohammed (goalkeepers’ trainer) to work with him in building a strong squad.

The WAFU B U-20 Championship will be hosted by Côte d’Ivoire in July. The tournament serves as a qualifier for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
