A consortium led by former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos have completed the process to buy Sevilla, home to Super Eagles duo Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke.
According to The Athletic, sources revealed that an agreement in principle for €444m was reached between all parties on Tuesday.
Sergio Ramos is a boyhood Sevilla fan. He played in the club’s youth academy and spent two seasons with the senior team, before moving to Real Madrid in 2005.
Following 16 years at Madrid and two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, the defender returned to Sevilla in 2023. In the 2023/24 campaign, he made 37 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.

Overall, the 2010 World Cup winner made 87 appearances for Sevilla during his two spells at the club. He has been a free agent since leaving Mexican side Monterrey in December.
Sevilla currently sit 13th in La Liga this season, three points above the relegation zone, with three matches left to play. The club will be hoping to survive as they begin a new era with Sergio Ramos.
Akor Adams is the leading goalscorer of the club this campaign with nine league goals. The 26-year-old has also provided three assists in 29 La Liga matches.

Meanwhile, Chidera Ejuke has recorded two goal contributions in 25 La Liga appearances this season. On Saturday, the winger started consecutive league games for the first time since August 2025.
