13 Super Eagles stars hit camp ahead of Iran, Jordan friendlies, Chukwueze, Okoye expected

A total of 13 players, including Fulham’s Alex Iwobi, Paris FC’s Moses Simon, and Lazio’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Antalya, Turkey ahead of their international friendly matches against Iran and Jordan.

The Eagles are scheduled to face Iran on Friday, March 27, before taking on Jordan on March 31. The fixtures will serve as preparation for the Asian sides ahead of their debut appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As of Tuesday night, 13 players were already in camp, while Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze and an Udinese goalkeeper were en route to join the squad.

In addition to Iwobi, Simon, and Dele-Bashiru, other players in camp include newly invited Emmanuel Fernandez, Yira Sor, and Philip Otele, alongside Paul Onuachu, Semi Ajayi, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, and Adebayo Adeleye.

The team is camped at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel in Antalya and is expected to hold its first training session with the coaching crew on Wednesday at 4 p.m. local time (2 p.m. Nigerian time).

Head coach Eric Chelle had named a 23-man squad for the international friendlies with notable names such as Stanley Nwabali missing while Victor Osimhen is out due to injury.
