Enekwechi only Nigerian to feature at 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland

Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi will be the country’s sole representative at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships scheduled to take place in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland from March 20 to 22.

The shot put specialist will carry Nigeria’s hopes at the global indoor competition, competing against some of the world’s best athletes in the men’s shot put event.

The 33-year-old heads into the championships in strong form, holding the fifth-best mark among the 18 athletes entered in the event. His ranking places him among the top contenders and highlights his potential to challenge for a podium finish.
