Ibrahim Olawoyin registered his first assist of the season as Rizespor secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Kasimpasa in a Turkish Super Lig early kick-off on Saturday, while 21-year-old Nigeria-eligible winger Adedire Mebude scored his first goal for the club.
Rizespor got off to a flying start and took the lead in the 25th minute through Halil Dervisoglu. Valentin Mihaila doubled the advantage in the 56th minute, before Olawoyin set up Mebude in the 80th minute to seal the emphatic win.
The assist marked Olawoyin’s first in 18 league appearances this season, while Mebude, who joined the club during the winter transfer window, notched his first goal of the campaign.

The 21-year-old Scottish youth international had already contributed two assists in his previous two games, bringing his tally to one goal and two assists in five appearances for Rizespor.
The victory lifts Rizespor temporarily to 10th in the league table and marks their sixth win of the season. Notably, it is the first time they have recorded back-to-back league victories this term, following last week’s 2-0 triumph over Kocaelispor.
Rizespor will aim to maintain their momentum as they face Besiktas in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday, before hosting Antalyaspor in a league clash on Sunday. The Super Eagles midfielder will be hoping to play a huge part in the forthcoming games.
