Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City have confirmed the appointment of Seyi Jones as the club’s new General Manager.
The announcement was made via an official club statement released on Friday, with the management expressing confidence in Jones’ experience and leadership capacity.
“The management of Ikorodu City Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Seyi Jones as the General Manager of the team,” the statement read.

Jones brings considerable administrative experience to the Oga Boys. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of Nigeria National League (NNL) side 1472 FC. He also worked as Chief Operating Officer of Lagos-based NNL club Smart City FC and is a co-founder of Bethel International.
According to the club, Jones emerged as the preferred candidate following a series of interviews with top executives.
“The club welcomes Seyi Jones on board with wealth of experience as we continue chase our goals and objectives in the Nigeria Top League,” the statement added.
Ikorodu City are enjoying an impressive campaign in the NPFL and currently sit second on the table with 45 points from 27 matches, firmly in contention for a continental ticket.
Jones’ immediate task will be to strengthen the club’s administrative and strategic framework as they push for a strong finish to the season. The Oga Boys will next face Bendel Insurance in a matchday 28 fixture in Benin City on Sunday.
