Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi came off the bench to score his first goal for Porto as the Liga Portugal leaders secured a 3-1 victory over Arouca in their league clash on Friday night, Bold Sports reports.

The 26-year-old who joined Porto on loan from Nice during the January transfer window, came on in the 62nd minute and sealed the hosts’ win with a late goal, ensuring they claimed their third straight victory.

Porto gained control of the encounter from the start as highly-rated youngster Oskar Pietuszewski found the net seconds into the game, giving them a 1-0 lead. However, the hosts were pegged back in the 70th minute through Nais Djouahra’s goal, making it 1-1.

The match was heading for a draw until the 87th minute when substitute Seko Fofana won a penalty. Another substitute William Gomes took the spot-kick and converted with a left-footed shot to the top right corner, making it 2-1.

Few seconds to the end of the game, Terem Moffi wrapped up the win, sliding in to finish a well delivered cross from William Gomes, as the two substitutes combined to secure Porto’s victory, taking them four points clear at the top of the league.

The result means that Porto continue their unbeaten home record in the league with no defeat in 12 games at Estádio Do Dragão. They sit top of the table with 65 points, four points clear of Sporting CP in second and 10 points clear of Benfica who are third, but have a game in hand.

Next up for Porto is the first leg of their huge Taca de Portugal semifinal clash against Sporting CP on Tuesday night. Both sides have already faced twice this season, with Porto winning once, and drawing on the other occasion.
