Nigeria will be looking to defend their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) crown in Morocco, having clinched a record-extending 10th title in the previous edition, defeating the host nation in a dramatic final.

Drawn in Group C for the upcoming tournament, the reigning champions will face Egypt, Malawi, and Zambia, the latter a side they thrashed 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2024 WAFCON.

Cameroon, meanwhile, have been placed in Group D alongside Cape Verde, Ghana, and Mali. The Indomitable Lionesses will be chasing their maiden WAFCON title after finishing as runners-up in 2004, 2014, and 2016
