Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored his 15th goal of the season as Galatasaray secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rizespor in their Super Lig clash on Sunday, Bold Sports reports.
Osimhen, who also found the net in Galatasaray’s previous league game against Kayserispor, wrapped up the win for the champions in the second half, extending their lead at the top of the table as they continue to push for a fourth straight Super Lig title.
Turkish forward Baris Asper Yilmaz opened the scoring in the 19th minute, rising highest to head the ball into the net after a superb delivery into the box from Noa Lang, giving the visitors a deserved lead following a fast start to the game.
Yilmaz continued his man of the match performance in the second half as he turned provider for the second goal, delivering a pinpoint cross into the box for Yunus Akgün to head in from close range, making it 2-0 in the 62nd minute.

Osimhen wrapped up the victory 11 minutes later, receiving the ball close to the box before dribbling past the goalkeeper and slotting into an empty net from a tight angle, securing all three points for Galatasaray.
The victory ensures that the champions remain on top of the Super Lig table with 52 points in 21 games, six points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahçe who have a game in hand, and seven ahead of third-placed Trabzonspor who also secured a 3-0 victory over Samsunspor on Friday.
Osimhen’s strike means he has now scored nine Super Lig goals this campaign. The Nigerian International will aim to be on target once again when Galatasaray host Eyüpsor in their next Super Lig game on Friday, February 13.
