Super Eagles winger Moses Simon will be aiming to continue his fine form in the Ligue 1 when Paris FC welcome Rennes to the Stade Jean Bouin on Friday night, Bold Sports reports.

Simon was the hero for Paris FC last weekend, scoring the winning goal in their shocking 1-0 away victory over Monaco. The goal was his first since August, and it helped the club climbed to 11th on the table with 14 points from 11 matches.

The 30-year-old’s strike took his tally for the season to three goals, making him Paris FC’s second-highest scorer behind Algerian forward Ilan Kebbal. In addition to his goals, Simon has also provided two assists, underlining his importance to Paris FC’s decent start to the campaign.

Their visitors Rennes, coached by Habib Beye, have endured a mixed season. The club ended a six-game winless run last weekend with a hard-fought victory over Strasbourg, but their overall form remains shaky with just three wins from 11 matches.

Rennes have also struggled on the road, failing to win any of their five away fixtures so far. They have drawn four and suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Lorient, a record they will be eager to improve against a determined Paris FC side.

For Simon, Friday’s clash provides another opportunity to build momentum ahead of Nigeria’s crucial CAF World Cup playoff against Gabon on Thursday, November 13. Maintaining form and fitness will be key as he looks to play a vital role for both club and country in the coming weeks.
