Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will be aiming to inspire his struggling side to a much-needed victory when they host Magesi FC in a crucial Premier Soccer League encounter at the Buffalo City Stadium on Tuesday, Bold Sports reports.
The Chilli Boys are rooted to the bottom of the table with just six points from 11 matches, while their visitors, Magesi, sit one place above them in 15th with nine points. A win for Chippa could see them leapfrog their opponents and ease their relegation worries.
Chippa United’s poor form has been a major concern this season. The Gqeberha-based side are winless in their last six games and have managed just one victory in their last 12 matches across all competitions — a dismal run that led to the sacking of former coach Luc Eymael.
New manager Kanu Vilakazi, who replaced Eymael, has now become the third man to take charge of Chippa this season. The club began the campaign under Sinethemba Badela, who lasted only two games before being replaced by Eymael.

Despite their struggles, Chippa will fancy their chances against a Magesi side that have also found consistency hard to come by. The Limpopo-based team have won only two of their 11 league games, drawing three and losing six. Their away record has been particularly poor, with five defeats and one draw from six matches on the road — the worst in the division.
Nwabali, one of the few bright spots in Chippa’s turbulent season, will be hoping to deliver another strong performance between the posts before joining the Super Eagles for Nigeria’s crucial CAF World Cup qualifying playoffs in Morocco.
