Super Eagles stars Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey have clashed over who they believe is the greatest player in Premier League history.
During a lighthearted segment at Fulham’s training ground on Friday, the club’s media team asked players to name their all-time Premier League great.
Chukwueze, who recently joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan, chose Cristiano Ronaldo. Bassey, last season’s Fulham Player of the Year, went for Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Both players are widely regarded among the finest to have graced the league. Henry spent nine seasons at Arsenal, scoring 175 goals in 258 appearances and registering 73 assists. Ronaldo, often hailed as one of the greatest footballers of all time, netted 103 goals and provided 46 assists in 236 league appearances across two spells with Manchester United.
Henry, alongside Premier League all-time top scorer Alan Shearer, was among the first players inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Ronaldo, however, is yet to be inducted. Under league rules, only retired players are eligible, and selections are based solely on Premier League performances, with no other competitions taken into account.
