D’Tigress forward Amy Okonkwo scored a career-high 20 points to help power the Dallas Wings to a commanding 97-76 victory over the Phoenix Mercury in her final game of the 2025 WNBA season at the College Park Center.
The win snapped a 10-game losing streak for the injury-plagued franchise, who had been without key players including Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yueru, JJ Quinerly, and Luisa Geiselsöder, among others.
Okonkwo was outstanding, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. She also added four rebounds and a game-high four steals in 26 minutes off the bench. Paige Bueckers led all scorers with 24 points, along with seven assists and eight rebounds.

Aziaha James chipped in 20 points, while Maddy Siegrist added 10 points and Myisha Hines-Allen grabbed 10 rebounds to round out a balanced Wings performance.
For the Mercury, Satou Sabally finished with a team-high 14 points, followed by Kalani Brown with 12 points.
Okonkwo, who initially joined the Wings on back-to-back seven-day hardship contracts, earned a permanent deal through the remainder of the regular season.

Reacting to her standout performance, Wings head coach Chris Koclanes praised Okonkwo’s fearlessness and confidence, qualities that defined her run with the team and reflected her 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket MVP status.
“She just came in and was fearless right from the start. Credit to Amy—fearless, confident from behind the arc. She lives just down the road, played here at TCU… what an awesome experience for her to do this in front of her hometown crowd.”
