Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued to lead Galatasaray’s title pursuit, contributing a goal and an assist in their convincing 5-1 triumph over Eyüpsor at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğa Stadium on Sunday.
Galatasaray came into the match having secured two straight league victories but still required a win to preserve their five-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahçe, who had won three of their last four league matches.
The league leaders quickly took control, with Roland Sallai opening the scoring in the 29th minute after being set up by Victor Osimhen before they extended their advantage in the 56th minute through a goal from Lucas Torreira.
Victor Osimhen netted his 22nd league goal and 31st across all competitions to further extend Galatasaray’s lead, before Luccas Claro pulled one back to make it 3-1. Spanish forward Alvaro Morata then sealed the victory, scoring twice in the space of four minutes to ensure Galatasaray claimed all three points.

Galatasaray’s victory takes them to 80 points, maintaining their five-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahçe with five matches remaining. On the other hand, Eyüpsor remain fifth on the table with 50 points.
Galatasaray will look to extend their winning run when they take on Sivasspor on Saturday, May 3, while Eyüpsor will aim to bounce back in their clash against Samsunspor on Sunday.
