Samuel Chukwueze delivered a standout performance as AC Milan stunned Premier League champions Manchester City with a 3-2 victory in a pre-season friendly at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.

The Nigerian winger was a constant threat throughout the first half, causing havoc for City’s defense. His creativity paid off in the 30th minute when a perfectly weighted lob found Lorenzo Colombo, who opened the scoring. Just four minutes later, Chukwueze’s precise cross set up Colombo for his second goal.

Chukwueze’s second assist

Erling Haaland and James McAtee pulled goals back for City, but substitute Marco Nasti’s late strike secured the win for Milan.

Chukwueze was replaced by Pierre Kalulu in the 63rd minute. After a disappointing previous season, the 25-year-old will be aiming to make a significant impact for the Rossoneri this campaign.
