Brazil secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Scotland to seal their qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 as Group C winners, while Morocco defeated Haiti 4-2 to finish second place.

Brazil and Morocco entered the final group stage fixtures with four points, and both sides continued their unbeaten run to guarantee their place in the knockout stage.

The five-time champions delivered a brilliant performance to beat Scotland, as Vinicius Junior scored a first half brace before Matheus Cunha added another goal in the second half, wrapping up a perfect result.

Brazil had even more cause to celebrate as Neymar returned to the pitch for the national team for the first time since October 2023. The 34-year-old replaced Cunha, marking a beautiful moment for him and the entire nation.

Morocco’s 4-2 victory over Haiti was not as straightforward. The North American side took the lead twice, first through an own-goal by Yassine Bounou in the 10th minute and then via a goal of the tournament contender, scored by Wilson Isidor in the 43rd minute.

However, the Atlas Lions leveled the score line twice, with Achraf Hakimi finding the net in the 39th minute, before Ismael Saibari scored for the third consecutive World Cup game to make it 2-2 on the cusp of halftime.

Morocco led for the first time in the 78th minute as Soufiane Rahimi scored to make it 3-2. Gessime Yassine then wrapped up the remarkable comeback victory for the North African side in the 89th minute, sealing a 4-2 win.

The results mean that Brazil are Group C winners while Morocco finish second, due to goal difference. Scotland end third with three points, and will have to wait to see if they can qualify to the next round as one of the best 3rd placed teams. Haiti are eliminated after finishing with 0 points.
