Super Eagles-eligible centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly on the verge of joining Chelsea after verbally agreeing to a long-term deal with the club.
The 26-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Fulham expired on June 30th. Chelsea are expected to finalize the deal with a medical next week.

Adarabioyo was also a target for Newcastle United, who reportedly made a formal offer. However, he seems set to become the first signing for new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who knows the player from their time together at Manchester City.
Highly rated by Maresca, Adarabioyo is expected to replace Thiago Silva, who left Chelsea after four seasons.
Sources at Chelsea suggest this signing is not related to Trevoh Chalobah’s future, but the academy graduate could be loaned out due to limited first-team opportunities.
