Terem Moffi scored his ninth goal of the season for Lorient but it was not enough as they lost 2-1 to visiting Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Thed champions PSG took the lead in the 9th minute through Neymar while Moffi score the equaliser in the 53r minute, however, the hosts failed to hold on for the draw as Danilo Pereira found the winner in the 81st minute.
It is the first goal for Moffi since last finding the back of the net against Brest where his brace helped them secure a 2-1 victory. Incidentally, it is Lorient’s last win in their last five league games.
With nine league goals, Moffi becomes the third joint scorer in the league along with Lille’s Jonathan David two goals behind leaders Neymar and Kylian Mbappe who are both on 11 goals from 13 games each.
The loss sees Lorient who began the season on a bright note drop to fifth on the table with 27 points from 14 league games three more than Olympique Marseille who welcome Olympique Lyon to the Velodrome later on Sunday.
