Napoli have set their sights on signing AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham as replacement for their highly sought-after forward Victor Osimhen who is likely to leave the Italians in the summer.
Osimhen has been in explosive form this season scoring 26 non-penalty goals in 36 games across all competitions and on the verge of leading Napoli to their first domestic league title for the first time in over 3-0 years.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly in the running to get the former Lille star, but Napoli won’t sell him for less than €120 million, according to respected Italian football website Il Corriere dello Sport. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are also in the running to sign the Nigeria international.
Aside from Abraham, Napoli’s Club Director Cristiano Giuntoli has also prepared a list which has Atalanta’s forward Rasmus Hojlund and Victor Boniface, currently under contract with Belgian Jupiler League side Union Saint-Gilloise.
Despite interest in other strikers, Abraham remains the top target for Napoli should Osimhen leave the Stadio Maradona in the summer.
The 24-year-old Nigerian is the top scorer in the Serie A this season and is also on the verge of being crowned the league’s Most Valuable Player at the end of the season.
