Saudi Arabia, Russian clubs eye Emmanuel Dennis

Saudi Arabia, Russian clubs eye Emmanuel Dennis

Nottingham Forest forward, Emmanuel Dennis, might be on his way out of the club after attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and Russian clubs, according to reports.

The Super Eagles player had a tough spell with Forest during the 2022/23 campaign having joined in the summer of 2022 from Championship side Watford on the back of an impressive outing in the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.

Dennis failed to replicate the form he had for Watford to the disappointment of the ‘Forest’ faithful and coaching crew. His lack of consistency affected his time on the pitch, and he was lucky not to have been sent out on loan during the January transfer window.

Forest is bolstering their squad ahead of the incoming season and the Nigerian may just be surplus to requirement as the club are in the market for reinforcement. One of the reinforcements could come in the shape of another Super Eagles player, Kelechi Iheanacho who is widely expected to join the side from relegated Leicester City for £8 million.

According to The Telegraph per TribalFootball, the 25-year-old who only scored two goals in 25 appearances for The Reads last season has attracted suitors from Russia and Saudi Arabia but no concrete move has been made with the club.
