Sadio Mané struck the tone of Senegal’s composed performance after being named Man of the Match, insisting discipline and collective focus carried the Teranga Lions past a stubborn Egypt and into the final.
“From the start, we did it together,” Sadio Mané said. “We avoided individual mistakes and unnecessary fouls. We managed the game well from start to finish, and I think we deserved to win. Now we have to be honest about the final, all the teams are strong, and we’ll try to be ready above all to give our best.”

Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan, despite the disappointment of elimination, praised the resilience and spirit of his players in defeat.
“I am really proud of my players for the character they showed against a tough opponent,” Hassan said. “I told them they defended the Egyptian flag and the Egyptian people with a lot of courage. Senegal played very well today, and I cannot take anything away from them.”
Senegal coach Pape Thiaw echoed the respect between both camps, admitting the contest was far from straightforward.
“We are very, very happy to have reached the final. It was not easy against a good side like Egypt,” Thiaw said. “My players were determined to win, and that determination showed on the pitch. I pay tribute to Egypt, they played well and gave us a very good match. Now, our focus is on preparing properly for the final.”
