Defending champions Remo Stars will aim to secure their first three points of the season when they face newly promoted Kun Khalifat at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Monday.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title holders were held to a 1-1 draw by Rivers United in their season opener at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, a pulsating contest that left them eager to get back on track.
Remo Stars will now be pushing for their first away win of the campaign after being frustrated at home.

The Blue Sky Stars will, however, be without their influential captain Ndika Junior, who departed the club for Iraqi side Erbil SC after seven years of service.
Kun Khalifat, on the other hand, showed resilience in their NPFL debut, holding Enugu Rangers to a goalless draw away from home. Despite that positive start, the newcomers will be desperate to score their first top-flight goal and record their maiden NPFL victory against the reigning champions.

The Owerri-based side, renowned for their fluid football in the lower league, will look to showcase their quality against more experienced opposition in the top flight.
A win for Remo Stars would provide a major confidence boost ahead of a busy September schedule, which includes five NPFL fixtures and a CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Comoros’ US Zilimadjou.
