Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika was on target for Belgian giants Club Brugge as they thrashed Besiktas 5-0 away from home in a UEFA Europa Conference League match.
The goal was Onyedika’s second for Club Brugge in 25 games across all competitions. He had not scored for the club since their 5-1 win over Icelandic side FC Akureyri in a Conference League qualifier in August.

Raphael Onyedika’s goal came in the 50th minute, making it 4-0 to Club Brugge. The visitors had taken an early lead through Casper Nielsen in the 4th minute, and Igor Thiago had doubled their advantage 10 minutes later. Thiago then added his second goal just a minute after the restart. Andreas Olsen completed the scoring for Club Brugge in the 69th minute.
The victory takes Club Brugge to the top of Group D in the Conference League on 13 points, three points ahead of second-placed Bodo/Glimt. Swiss side Lugano has four points, while Besiktas has only managed one point.
For Raphael Onyedika, the goal was his first in the Conference League this season in five appearances. He will be hoping to add to his tally in the final group game against Bodo/Glimt on December 14.
