Super Eagles midfielder Papa Daniel and four other Nigerian players have discovered their UEFA Conference League round of 16 opponents after the draw which took place on Friday.
The draw was held at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland and involved the eight winners of the two-legged knockout phase play-offs alongside the top eight sides from the league phase.
As revealed during the draw, Papa Daniel’s NK Celje will face off against AEK Athens in the round of 16. The Nigerian midfielder has featured in five Conference League games for the Slovenian side and will be hoping for more game time in the crucial tie.
Defender Emmanuel Uchenna and his Sparta Prague side will meet Dutch side AZ Alkmaar while Godswill Ekpolo’s AEK Larnaca battle one of the tournament favorites Crystal Palace.

The first leg for the round of 16 will be played on March 12 while the second leg is scheduled for March 19.
