Osimhen summer move could cost PSG, United over €100m

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to compete for Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen in the summer having failed to capture the Nigerian striker last summer and the recently closed January transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been a key player in the Partenopei’s amazing Scudetto run this season, contributing four assists along with 14 goals in 16 Serie A appearances. Under the tutelage of experienced manager, Luciano Spalletti Osimhen has developed into a player of the highest caliber, and the best clubs in Europe are getting ready for a summer auction.

According to ESPN, Osimhen is a major target for both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, who intend to make a summer transfer move for the Napoli star with the expectation that it will cost more than €100m.

The Nigerian joined Napoli in the summer of 2020 in a deal worth €80m from French Ligue 1 side, becoming the most expensive African player.

Aside United and PSG, Real Madrid may be on the lookout for the Nigerian having failed to recruit highly sought after Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haalnd last summer.

Should they miss out on on signing the Nigeria international, The Red Devils will looking to sign Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, Tottenham’s Harry Kane or RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko.

Napoli may hope to raise the fee even higher and start a bidding war.
