Despite a brace from Odion Ighalo, Al Wehda were forced to settle for a 3-3 draw against Al Taawoun in a thrilling Saudi Professional League match on Thursday.
The 10th-placed hosts found themselves pegged back three times by the 4th-placed visitors. Ighalo opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but Musa Barrow equalized for Al Taawoun just eight minutes later.

Faycal Fajr restored Al Wehda’s lead in the 36th minute, but Brazilian forward Mateus leveled the score again on the stroke of halftime.
Ighalo grabbed his second goal of the game in the 74th minute, but Mateus completed his brace two minutes from time to secure a share of the spoils for Al Taawoun. Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages but ultimately had to settle for a point each.
Ighalo’s brace takes his league tally to 12 goals in 20 games for Al Wehda.
