NBA Preseason: Gabe Vincent scores 18 points in LA Lakers win

Gabe Vincent scored 18 points in 26 minutes on the court for the Los Angeles Lakers in their 109-101 win over the Sacramento Kings at Honda Center on Thursday in an NBA preseason game.

Aside from scoring 18 points, Vincent also recorded two assists in the game. He scored four of eight from beyond the arc. D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers in scoring with 21 points, eight assists, and three rebounds while Rui Hachiumura, Christian Wood, and Taurean Prince all had 13 points.

Guard DeAaron Fox scored 18 points for the Kings. Forward Harrison Barnes had 15 points while Domantas Sabonis and Chris Duarte recorded 10 points apiece.

Vincent said the win was down to exquisite ball movement from the players and D’Angelo Russel controlling the pace and making things easy for the rest of the team.

“My guys were doing a good job moving the ball Jax (Jaxson Hayes) set some great screens and we played a good game. I am getting comfortable more and more each day here at the Lakers,” Vincent said after the game.

“It’s been great playing alongside D’Lo. He makes the game easy for everybody. He pushes the pace, gets guys in place, makes the right read, and plays well at a high level,” the D’Tigers guard added.

The Lakers were without starters LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reeves for the game.
